Imagine a future where the earth’s environment is in danger of collapse. Not too difficult is it? Then add to that unexpected contact from an alien race of Grays who promise to pull the world out of its dire state. Would world governments accept the offer? The answer to that is a resounding YES!

In Gray/Guardians, Kathy Porter presents just that scenario. However, all is not as promising as it seems. The Grays, who have been beaming up people for years – prodding, probing and causing nightmares certainly expect something in return. And it’s something so unnerving and frightening that it’s difficult to even wrap one’s mind around it.

This sci-fi thriller is particularly good because it includes such real-life groups as SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) and also mentions President George Bush, The Pentagon and United Nations. These inclusions give the book an authentic feel and the reader pause to imagine if such a thing could ever occur, especially given the massive increase in UFO sightings in 2008.

Gray/Guardians does not neglect the human aspect of such a monumental event either. The author gives details of various relationships between husbands and wives, women and children, and so on – adding even more to the authenticity of her story.

There are only a couple of negatives associated with this book. Firstly, there are quite a number of typos that should have been corrected during editing. Secondly, although the story is already a long one, it could have gone further. Does this mean there will be a sequel? Let’s hope so!
